A Dry Weekend For The Northeast...

March 20, 2020 // Article by: Brad Miller

After a warm finish to the work week as temperatures climbed into the 70s Friday afternoon, we'll be quickly reminded that it's still March.  A strong cold front will sweep across the Northeast Friday night and send our temperatures back to normal for the weekend.  High pressure will keep it dry and mainly sunny, but it will be 20 - 25 degrees colder than Friday.  Here is a look at forecast temperatures for 2 PM Saturday and Sunday.

So, after a one day taste of spring on Friday, the Northeast will feel a bit more like late winter over the weekend.  Then...we look ahead to Monday...and yes, it does look like there is some snow in the forecast.  And while the best chance to see accumulating snow will be across interior parts of the Northeast, folks along I-95 (especially NYC to Boston) may see a period of snow.  Here is a look at the forecast simulated radar for 2 PM on Monday.

Again, this is just one model and some things likely change, but it is definitely something to watch over the weekend.  We'll have an update on Sunday and look for us on Facebook and Twitter as well.
