Hellooooo severe weather! In one week, I will be attending an orientation before driving out to Tornado Alley storm chasing for two weeks. Although we will not know if we are leaving on May 28th or 29th until the day of the orientation, I'm hoping we can leave as soon as possible to analyze and predict these powerful storms! Tornadoes were what initially sparked my interest in meteorology, in particular, the 1999 Oklahoma tornado outbreak. Ever since that day, I knew I wanted to go storm chasing, and I am extremely excited over this opportunity! Not only will I be chasing my first meteorological love, but I will be able to enhance my severe weather forecasting techniques by actually being in the field and chasing in real-time. I will be taking NUMEROUS pictures along the way and if we do catch a tornado, you can bet I will be taking a picture of the beast. So follow me on this journey, because the more active and exciting the trip is, the more I will be posting!
